Public Status Pages
Any project can be opted into an unauthenticated, read-only status page — useful for linking a project’s live status from a resume or portfolio site without giving visitors access to your dashboard.
Enabling a project’s status page
Open the project’s detail page and toggle Public status page in its
settings. A shareable link to /status/<project-id> appears once enabled.
is_public defaults to off for every project — a health-check target,
response times, and failure history aren’t something that should be
exposed without an explicit choice. Only the fields listed below are ever
shown publicly; the check target, headers, and hosting provider never
are.
A project’s own public page shows:
- Its name, description, and current status badge.
- Rolling uptime percentage over 24h/7d/30d/90d.
- A response-time chart over the last 24 hours.
- A per-day uptime heatmap.
Disabling the toggle immediately makes the page 404 for anyone without dashboard access — there’s no cached/stale public view left behind.
Portfolio status page
/status lists every project you’ve made public in one place, each linking to its own page above — the “one link for my whole portfolio” case. It’s not scoped per user; it lists every publicly opted-in project on this Upkeep instance, matching this project’s current single-owner design. An instance with no public projects yet just shows an empty state, not an error.
